Myth: You just need to relax

MYTH: It's all psychological; People just need to relax and they'll get pregnant.

FACT: Infertility is a medical condition of the reproductive system. Stress can result from struggles with infertility, not cause it.

I HATE when people tell me to relax and it will happen! I know for a fact relaxing will not get me pregnant. Brian and I have become a closer more loving couple due to our infertility. I know I have picked the right person to take this journey in life with.

Chicken Taco Soup!!

I am trying to put off grocery shopping so I am trying to use up what I have in my cupboards. I decided to make chicken taco soup. I was kind of fallowing a recipe but I pretty much made up my own because I didn't have much in the pantry. It looks not so good but it was yummy!!

 The recipe I used was:

2 Cans of white beans ( Drained and rinsed)
2 Cans of diced tomatoes
3 Boiled chicken breast shreeded
1 Can of corn
1 Packet of Taco seasoning
1 small onion chopped
1 Can of beer
Put in the crock-pot and cook for 4 Hours on high. Stir and turn it on low for another hour.
I topped mine off with a bit of sour cream and some hand made tortilla chips.

little bites of brownie heaven

I got a craving today for some brownies so I decided to whip up a batch of brownie bites.

This is the recipe I used it is from my AtoZ cookbook one of my aunts gave me for my wedding shower.

4 eggs
2 C. sugar
1 C. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
4 T. cocoa

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Spray your mini-muffin pan and put a Hershey kiss in each tin and fill with brownie batter. Cook at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Cool for 20 minutes or so.

Brian and I are enjoying them tonight! What a yummy treat I think next time I will use the Carmel filled kisses!

Cricut Fabric Onesies

I had a baby shower last weekend and I was not sure what I should get for the new little baby. I then decided that I would try my hand at cutting fabric with my cricut. I love to cut paper with my cricut so why not fabric. First I went to YouTube to see how to do it and just started. I loved the way it looked when I was done and it was so super easy!! I did mess up a little bit but I was able to fix it. I spelled the name wrong (you will be able to see it in my picture) I was able to fix it so it turned out ok. The hand designed onesies were a hit!! The new mommy loved them. I think that was such a quick and easy gift that I will make this my go to gift.

Intro:

Hello!! I am new to blogging so please go easy on me.

I have wanted to start  blog for a while now but I have been putting it off but I have decided it is time. I want my blog to be about everyday life. I love to cook, scrapbook, and I think I am pretty crafty. So I will try my best to keep you updated with the projects I am working on.

Now a little bit about me and my husband. We met on a blind date about four years ago and haven't been a part since! We just bought our home a year ago so we are still in the process of making it our own. This year we are going to tackle the landscaping. I hope it all works out neither one of us have any experience with it but we are going to learn together (fingers crossed.) We are also trying for a little one. We both love children and would like to have a couple of our own.

I try to live life for everyday and here is a quote that sums up my feelings on life: Life's a journey, not a destination.  ~Aerosmith
